This year Priss was really into Valentine's Day. Rules were set that no candy-grams (personalized Valentines) could be sent to the opposite gender at school. They were allowed to give Valentines to everyone in their class at their class party. Priss got up early to have her hair curled with hot rollers and she wore one of her fancier dresses. Swee wanted to dress a little nicer too. Doodle wore his Heartbreaker tee. While Bee wore some new heart patterned leggings with a bow Doodle had picked out at Hobby Lobby the week before. I called her Chiquita all day since the bow reminded me of the Chiquita banana lady. Anyways, back on the topic of Vday. I wanted to make dinner special so I set the table with some crystal that had been my great-aunts and had everyone use our breakable dinner plates. The kids were so excited to sit down to dinner and to eat by candle light. At dinner we each said some thing that we loved about ever member of our family. It was was touching to hear what the kids love about each other. Gifts were exchanged but most importantly everyone felt loved by everyone else. I think our candle light dinner might just become a family Vday tradition along with great-great grandma Claire's sugar cookies.
