funny. adorable. silly. copycat. smart. amazing. trash-picker. eats anything. blankie lover. his cry makes me giggle - as long as it is during the daylight hours. thinks he is a big kid. loves to dance. cries when told no. stubborn. determined. wonderful. independent. climber of stairs. loves to clean. everyone's buddy. our little!

what's up with both boys having their mouths open?! i guess they were just yelling they loved me as i took the picture.
I want to get to know you
so that our sis girl could get to know her classmates better we hosted a "I want to get to know you better" party. she sent out 23 invitations and we ended up having 10 of her classmates. we planned to play a dvd game, decorate sugar cookies, make popcorn, and learn a cool fact about each person. it was amazing to see just how much she enjoyed getting to have her friends at her house. i realized just how grateful i am to know that she has begun to make friends and that there are ones that i would be willing to have over.
Air Guitar and Oreos
One night the kids treated me to some air guitar and original songs. It was great watching the three of them do something together. Swee got a paper jam for Christmas and they put it to use.
Priss got some earmuff from Gap a few weeks ago and she wears them when she is singing to her HSM or Taylor Swift cds. This particular night Lil Man wanted to wear them. He just walked around with them on his ears and would come to me when they slipped down so I could put them back on.

snow/ice storm of 2011
yes, here in the midwest we are enduring the snow/ice storm of 2011 and missing lots of school. our week's recap thus far:
monday - home to recoup
tuesday - first snow day of the week and i decided to have the kids work on some school work
*priss - phonics, reading, writing, & subtraction facts
she wrote about home school and her lack of enjoyment of having me as her teacher, it was quite funny! she doesn't ever want to have me as her secular teacher EVER
*swee - letter recognition, writing his name, shapes and number recognition
wednesday - snow day #2 - more home school, as priss calls it, but not as much
thursday - snow day #3 - when priss was told she instantly started crying that she wanted to go to regular school and didn't want to do home school with mom anymore. maybe tomorrow we will just do our reading, subtraction facts, name writing and letter recognition, or we might just play it by ear! who knows!
it is our prayer at this house that it never comes to mom being the main teacher or else i think we might have some home school dropouts!
disney on ice
thanks to santa we were able to go see disney on ice when it came to town. the kids loved it and were asking to go back again next year. priss even stated that she thought santa was a genius for getting us tickets.
