BLOGGER TEMPLATES AND TWITTER BACKGROUNDS

Due to...

the old laptop not being internet wireless and the new taptop not liking my camera program my posts will be several at a time since I have to work between both. I know you feel sorry for me but that's just my life!

Photographer in Training

Tonight as the kids and I were driving home from Priss's tap lesson she commented about how beautiful the sunset looked. She wanted to take a picture to be able to show Jason when he got home. I found the still camera and gave it to her. She was gone for a few minutes and I later discovered that she wanted to capture the sunset from every angle possible. I think she did a pretty good job of capturing the different looks of the sky surrounding our house.

Way to go my Prissy Girl!

Recipe from a family member - kind of

I don't remember just how long I have had this recipe but I know that my kids love it. Thanks to my sister's mother-in-law I have a fabulous banana oatmeal chocolate chip muffin recipe. Today Swee and I quadrupled the recipe to make 72 muffins. 4 1/2 dozen are in the freezer for future enjoyment and the rest are waiting to be devoured over the next couple of days.

Teepee

For Christmas the kids received a teepee from their great-uncle Rog and great-aunt Joyce. Joyce actually made them. The kids loved getting to play in theirs and we finally caught them in the act last night. Thanks Uncle Rog and Joyce for the awesome gift. Swee is already asking to sleep in it.

Daddy and his boys

I caught Jason and the boys all cuddled up on the couch around the computer. I thought it was pretty darn cute.

Tactial

Lil Man found the bouquet of flowers that Jason and Swee brought home to me one night earlier this week. I think he was drawn in by the vivid orange color. They kept his attention for several minutes.

First Night

that he slept in a bed all alone. He slept great and I was a little sadden to know he would probably only be sleeping in my bed again when he is sick. Getting way to big, way to fast.

And the Candles Were Forgotten

Yesterday we were able to get together with my dad to celebrate his birthday. Swee had helped bake the cake and was so eager to take it to Grandpa Dave. Priss and Swee helped decorate the gift bag that housed his present. We ate lunch at a local airport and the kids were entertained by the planes landing and taking off. It was so good to see my Dad and his younger brother. We took some pictures but not a single one had everyone looking at the camera.

HAPPY 65th BIRTHDAY!

Naptime Story

Since we have had so many snow days here lately Priss was home a lot over the past two weeks. Each day both of the boys nap around the same time which meant that she had to do quiet time. This one particular day she asked very nicely if she could watch a movie instead of being in her room. She had to watch the movie in my room and that is where the Lil Man usually naps. We decided to have him nap in her room and her watch the movie in mine. I caught her reading him a story before his nap. It is moments like this that every parent should treasure. They are few and far between it seems at times.

Love Day

Here are some pictures from our celebration of Love Day!

PS the thank yous are in the mail

Due to the snowfall there will be

LOTS OF SNUGGLING!

We finally found it

This past Tuesday we finally located the sledding hill where we have lived the past 5 years. Yes, it took us that long! The kids had a great time sledding down and then climbing back up. Swee got a little tired towards the end but loved every minute. Priss was a pro at climbing the hill and discovered that if she rode in the front they could sail down the hill even faster. Some family had pity on the kids and loaned them their two person sled so that they could sled together. I did manage to go down the hill once before I retired to the car to be with the Lil Man. Jason snuck in a couple of runs down the hill without me knowing. He said he had a couple of good wipe outs too! With all the snow we have we are hopeful to return again today maybe. We will see how well the kids listen and cooperate during nap time/quiet time.

This is Priss typing now:
Dad did a somersault and fell on his belly when he went down the hill. We didn't git to see it.

He EATS

Tuesday my baby had rice cereal for the first time and LOVED it! I am so sad that he is getting this old. I really thought I could convince him to stay my little baby forever. No such luck! Here he is enjoying his first few bites of rice cereal.

Another One Gone

Bring On March Madness - Baby

College basketball analyst in training. This is what Lil Man did while Priss and Swee had nap time/quiet time today, he watched the Gtown vs. Nova game. I knew he was being very quiet and thought maybe he had went to sleep but he hadn't. He was just taking it all in.

Day 4

5 months

What a trooper getting his picture taken on Sunday sick as can be!
This adorable little guy has been a wonderful blessing to our family for five months today. It is so hard to believe that we have been enjoying him for that long. He is developing such a great personality. He loves to shove toys and his fingers into his mouth and it drives big brother and sister crazy because they have been told to keep theirs out of their mouths. They yell each time they see him with his fingers in his mouth and we try to explain that he's a baby so it is okay for him to do it. He continues to be smothered with mooches a lot and maybe even more that he would like sometimes. The house isn't very quite even when the older two are in bed because he loves to talk to Jason and me when he is given a moment alone with us. We swear he is going to be the talker out of our kids, which is saying a lot if you know the other two. Over the past week he has been battling, and I do mean BATTLING, a horrible cough and had had a fever for 4 days. When I took him to the doctor on Monday he had to have a blood test and a chest x-ray. Both came back perfectly fine so it was determined that he was suffering from viral brocholitis (sp?) and there was nothing to be done. It would just run its course. Needless to say, Jason, myself and the Lil Man have been averaging 4 hours of sleep a night. He sleeps well until midnight, off and on until three, then from 3-5 a.m. he has been up coughing and from 5-7 he has slept. I now am the proud owner of some killer DARK CIRCLES! We pray that the worst is over and that he is on the mend. He did go to sleep at 5:30 last night and didn't get up for the day until 10 till 8 this morning (we were up a couple of times through the night but nothing like we had been) when he had to take Priss to school.

We love having him and would had an enormous void in our home without him here.

Day 2

Copycats-Kind Of

My sister had the cute idea of doing SEVEN SPLENDID DAYS of OUTFITS on my niece and when Priss saw it she wanted to do it too. So we are going FIVE FABULOUS OUTFITS in FIVE DAYS.
