Ultrasound, NST and Dr Visit

Late morning today I had the privilege of beginning what will be my routine up until I deliver this baby. I reported to my OB's office to have an ultrasound done to check baby's growth. Then it was off to have a NST (non-stress test) administered, in which, baby didn't want to cooperate so I was required to drink a big glass of water (still didn't respond as the nurse wanted it to) so then baby was buzzed (a very loud noise was introduced to the baby) and finally the baby's heartbeat jumped and returned to normal as it was supposed to. Following the NST I was scheduled to see my OB who measured and said everything was fine. I am to return on Thursday for my second NST of the week.

My schedule for the next almost 7 weeks -
Mondays - OB, Fluid Check/Ultrasound, & NST
Thursdays - NST

The kids attended the ultrasound and loved getting to hear the baby's heartbeat but were disappointed when we were unable to get any good pictures of the baby's face since it's back was too us. Actually it kept showing us it's bottom to be exact. Priss asked to ultrasound tech, Pam, if she could just roll me over and do the ultrasound on my back since that was where the baby was facing. Pam explained very nicely that because of all the bones in my back it made it impossible to do the ultrasound on my back. That seemed to suffice Priss. She is dying to know what the baby's gender is. Jason and I would about bet it is another little boy but she continues to hold out faith that it is a baby sister only time will tell.

As of today the baby is in the 66th percentile for weight (approx. 4 lbs and some odd oz) and 80th percentile for head.

I Think We Got Lost

Please be prepared for a lot of posts in a short amount of time. We have been crazy busy and I haven't taken the time to blog for what seems like forever. You will need to have at least 15 minutes to browse my blog!!

Gone

June of 2003 found my middle sister, her husband and my oldest nephew moving here for my brother-in-law to attend dental school. From the beginning they stated they would be returning to his home state for him to open a dental practice. Well, 4 years became 6 years when he decided to specialize in orthodontics. Over the course of the last 6 years they have welcomed a little girl, and two more little boys to their clan.

This past Sunday found them telling us good-bye since my brother-in-law is now an orthodontist and has bought into a practice in his home state. I never really thought the day would come when they would move away leaving my kids without any cousins to play with when we go to Honey's.

So many tears were shed then and in the moments following them driving away. Priss was heartbroken to see her Coop, Ains, Becks and Gray drive off. She will terribly miss them and can't wait until they return for a visit. Swee wondered why Becks wasn't spending the night at Honey's with us.

It is very hard to have my two sister be so far away with their kids. I always thought we would be raising our children together but the Lord has other plans right now. Maybe one day but for now I miss my little sisters terribly and pray they know the love and admiration that I have for them and the women they are today.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Another year has rolled by and we made it to Wrigley Field once again. The kids were so excited to ride the L to the game and to be able to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame during the 7th inning stretch. Swee fell asleep about 3 innings in and managed to sleep until the final word of Take Me....Ballgame. He woke up just long enough to sing "Game" and then it was back to sleep for another few minutes. Priss loved getting to take pictures of the Cubs players up at home plate and was in heaven when the time came to sing her beloved "Take Me....the Ballgame".

We had a great time and can't wait to take Baby Sloppy with us next year...if we are brave!

Sprinkler Play

Running through the sprinkler like crazy people. Of course it was overcast on the 4th but the 5th was HUMID and HOT! They had so much fun running around getting wet.

Painey is 5

So hard to believe that Miss Painey Girl has turned 5 and will be starting kindergarten this year. We had a small birthday party at my Mom's on the 4th.
Happy Birthday Miss Painey Girl! We love you bunches!
