Oh, the places we have been

Jason took a couple of days off of school last week and we headed down south for a very long weekend. It was Priss's spring break so she just took yesterday off. We went several fun places with Grandpa and Grandma Slopsema...

We had a wonderful time. Jason and his dad are planning a 3 day hike of the Appalachian Trail this June. The kids and I will tag along and spend some time with his mom.

Busy Spring

I feel like we have been coming and going already this Spring. I have several pictures that need to be uploaded so that the camera's memory card can be erased before we leave for Spring Break today...

Priss lost another tooth...

Jason had a birthday...

The boys and I played outside....

Lil Man can turn himself 180 degrees...

Lil Man is ready for our yearly Cubs game...

I made the worst (okay second worst Jason still holds the title because mine were at least edible)birthday brownies...

We are off to NC for about 6 days to visit Jason's parents. The kids are excited, the bags are packed, and the surprises are hidden. Hope you have a wonderful Spring Break also.

Four Years Already

Our Swee celebrated a birthday this weekend and loved being the center of attention. He really got into the idea of it being his birthday and having a party. We were able to have several very special people at our home to celebrate....Ggma and Ggpa came with Aunt Kathy, cousin Sarah, new cousin Grace, grandparents from both sides, Uncle Mike and Clinton. The kids loved having Grace and Clinton to play with and the weather cooperated so they could play outside.
As the days go by he is growing and maturing so much. Just this week he made Priss breakfast, asked to be excused from the table without being prompted and picked up sis's dirty clothes so that she was sure to get her bedtime story. It is moments like this when I see his sweet caring side that I am reminded why we called him Sweet Teeny (Swee). I love being his mom and can't imagine missing out on his gestures of pure love towards those in his family. He still is rotten but man can he ever be our Swee when he wants to be.

Happy 4th Birthday to our Sweet Teeny!

Half a Year Already

I am sad to say that our Little Man is 6 months old today. I can't believe how much he has changed over the last month. He loves, LOVES, loves food...veggies (less sweet potatoes - didn't try them) and rice cereal. I can't get the food in his mouth fast enough. He literally yells at me if I try to clean his face off in between bites. The older two continue to entertain him with their antics and at times I think his head should be on a swivel just so he can take everything in that is going on around him. He loves to talk and seems to carry on a conversation with you when he is given the chance. We did manage to get the "falling off the bed" out of the way this past weekend, not because he rolls but because he wiggled his self off. We both survived and are no worse the wear. As to sitting he really could careless but will do it for a few seconds at a time. Priss and Swee can get him to giggle out loud anytime they talk to them, which completely strokes their egos. We love him and everyday realize the blessing and miracle that he is.
