Aquarium

I had the opportunity to go with Priss on her field trip today since my Mom was willing to come and take care of the boys. We got to see many incredible things...sharks, jelly fish, alligators, Burmese pythons, frogs as big as volleyballs, and a turtle that weighs 148 lbs and was still growing. I am so thankful that I could go on this field trip because Priss hasn't forgotten that no one went on her fall field trip.

Look What I Have!

Last week I cut my first tooth. Just today was Mom able to capture it with the camera. I have been trying to hide it with my lips and tongue up until today. I think I feel a hankering for some steak coming on.

Way too old

Our Coopie turned 7 years old today and we miss him so much! The kids were so excited to talk with him on the phone. Swee asked him what he got and Coop said a dart gun and Swee replied I can't wait to come over and play with it. How we wish they were that close still!

Happy Birthday to the best 7 year old boy we know!

It's Here

Spring weather that is! We are so excited for the warmer weather and all the fun things we can do outside now. From swinging on the swings! To taking bike rides! Swee has already required a new back tire thanks to all the skidding he likes to do when he stops.

Didn't love the bike trailer after the first 3 minutes...seriously I think he hated it!

Another Chapter is Finished

As of yesterday Jason has stepped down as Girls' Varsity Basketball coach. We have really felt that it was time that he was home with the family more. The kids really need to have him present and available more than he could be with all the time that coaching took. It was a sad moment when he sat down to write his letter of resignation because we have had so much fun going to all the games and the kids love being able to be a part of his team. However, with that said, when he told Priss last night she was excited! I would have bet you money that she would have sobbed but she amazed me when she was so happy. She said that she was excited to have him home more and was glad that now it gave him more time to spend with us.

We are hopeful that another NEW chapter in our book of life begins SOON! But when you realize you really aren't in complete control of our life you also realize that there is no telling how long it will be before it comes to pass. Until then we will be enjoying more family bike rides, walks and soccer games together.

Let it Begin

Swee and Priss are on the same soccer team this year with Jason as the coach. They were so excited for their first game this morning. Swee has been touch and go about whether or not he was going to play but he played and even stole the ball from the other team and dribbled it down the field 2 or 3 times. Priss was an animal on the field. When she had to sit out her required quarter the waterworks began. She wanted to play the entire game so badly. They really enjoyed their selves and love being on the same team this year. We can't wait for the rest of the season to watch how their improve on their games.

Wonderful Easter

This Easter was simply wonderful...we got to spend the weekend seeing my family and relaxing. The weekend started with us getting to see my dad and have lunch with him. The kids loved getting to look through all the pictures that Grandpa David has at his house. They looked at a couple of Aunt Erica, Aunt Valeri and me when we were younger. After lunch we headed over to my mom's house to spend the evening with her. The kids napped and I got to visit uninterrupted with her. She took Priss and Swee to the bakery at two different times so they each could go with just her. We watched Butler win a nail biter. Sunday morning the kids got on their new Easter outfits, posed for a lot of pictures..what can I say it is the Lil Man's first Easter..and then we headed off to watch General Conference at mom's church building. We ducked out of Gen. Conf. a couple of minutes early to head over to my Aunt Lana's for Easter dinner. There were so many great people there that we hadn't gotten to see since Thanksgiving. Way too long! We ate and zoomed back to mom's so that the kids could lay down since they had gotten up so early to see if the Easter Bunny had gotten Priss's note to deliver their baskets to Honey's house. He got the note and they were so excited with what he left. Aunt Valeri, Uncle Morgan and Finn's Easter box was opened too. They were so excited to find candy in the eggs. Once we got back to mom's we changed out minds and went ahead and had the Easter egg hunt. There were about 70 eggs for the older two to find and I think they only missed about 5. During the afternoon session of conference both Jason and myself fell asleep and slept until about 7 p.m. Swee woke me up and I about fell off the couch when I realized what time it was and that we still needed to pack the car and drive the 1 1/2 hours home. We had to wake up Lil Man because I think he was done for the night. At 9:30 we finally pulled into our drive and unloaded the kids who ran into the house to see what Grandma and Grandpa, and Ggma and Ggpa had left for them. They were so excited to see that they had gotten new rainboots, a new game and of course some candy.

Thanks for all the thoughtfulness that our families sent from afar too.

28 today

it's the most recent pic of you I have...sorry but wasn't that a great day too
Is that really how old my baby sister is today? Yes, I guess it is! We miss you so Weed and are literally counting down the days until we get to see your lovely face and get to hug and smooch on you and your fam. I really hope your day is terrific and you truly enjoy your day! Lots of love and kisses!

6 mo stats two days short of 7 mo

I have continued to forget to post Lil Man's 6 mo stats and he will be 7 mo in a couple of days. So better late than never I say...

17 lb 7.5 oz

26 in

He continues to be a wonderful baby. He now knows if someone has walked out of his line of vision and if he has been left alone. Not something he really likes! T still is very laid back and it takes a lot to get him frustrated. We just hope it continues that way.

RC

Swee has been running his remote controlled Hummer and remote controlled Mustang all over the sidewalks and throughout the garage the past two days. He received them as gifts at Christmas...the Mustang Christmas of 08 and the Hummer Christmas of 09 but he just now has mastered the art of driving them where he wants them to go. Yesterday afternoon when we got Priss from school he told her that she could drive one if she wanted. I was so pleased to hear him being willing to share without having to be encouraged to do so.

Big Boy Carseat

Our lil man is finally riding in a big boy carseat and seems to like it.

NOT his smartest moment

We have had our Christmas tree sitting in our backyard for the past 3 1/2 months because we really didn't have anywhere to put it. This being said, Jason decided that he wanted to burn the tree since it was dry and should burn quickly. He began by placing the tree in the field behind our house. Then he lit some matches in the hopes that it would just be engulfed in flames and the task would be completed within minutes. Well, it didn't go that smoothly! The tree didn't want to stay lit and so he resorted to dousing it with GASOLINE as Swee stood by watching. As he is doing this I am quickly saying to Swee this is not something you should do and Daddy is making a poor choice. After the second dousing of gasoline that tree finally caught fire and burned. Jason then yells for me to turn on the hose so he can put it out before the field of corn stalks catches on fire. What a moment of pure genius huh?

Fertilizing

Jason spent some time over his spring break fertilizing the yard. He began the chore and Swee finished it.
