BLOGGER TEMPLATES AND TWITTER BACKGROUNDS

dermabond, giving thanks, preparing for xmas and warm weather

Injured by a shelf at Meijer and ended up in the ER.  After a freak out of thinking he was getting stitches he was very relieved to hear it could just be glued shut.

Happy first Thanksgiving!

Getting our tree with Uncle B, Grandpa and Grandma on a frigidly, cold day.

Everyone had a turn helping to put some lights on the tree.

Preparing for Christmas this year with an extra cute little helper.

The first few days of December didn't get the memo it is supposed to be cold.  The temp got to about 55 degrees and so we spent some time outside.

We are doing great!   It's the crazy, busy, wonderful time of year that I look forward to each year!

Post Halloween Post

 Our Beautiful Butterfly
 Halloween Girls
 Batman passing candy out
 The Daring Dragon
 The Wild Witch
As Halloween Night approach our house became a house of emotions.  Swee had been told that he needed to have a good day at school to ensure he would be going trick or treating.  Can you guess what type of day he had?  Jason and I were forced to enforce a consequence we never thought we would have to.  He was not allowed to go trick or treating.  My heart broke in pieces everytime I thought about him missing out on a childhood tradition but I knew I had to stand my ground.  We all survived and we allowed him to pass out candy in his costume.
The temperature was barely above freezing so Doodle didn't last a super long time.  Priss on the other hand trick or treated as long as Jason would stay out with her.

BSU Homecoming Parade and She's 5 months

This pretty pink princess was in the BSU homecoming parade this past weekend.  She got to ride on a float with her dance company but the best thing to her was getting to dance up and down the streets during the parade.

The boys waited so patiently for the parade to begin.  They then loved trying to find Priss in the parade.  The fact that candy was being thrown in their direction didn't hurt a bit either.

Five months of a pure blessing is what you see here.  She loves life and all those who are in her world.  She lights up for her sister and brothers, is sometimes unsure about others but it completely a Momma's girl through and through.  Daddy has his special place in her heart too, especially when he is watching football and she gets to join him.  She is the only one who will sit still and watch it with him.  That has stolen his heart for sure.

family getaway

This pretty little princess is 4 1/2 months old and loves being social.  She isn't rolling over but I prefer it that way.  She giggles and talks to whomever will listen.

During part of Jason's fall break we spent sometime with his parents in North Carolina.  The kids had fun getting to be a grandma and grandpa's house, and to drive their riding lawn mower. They even made homemade chalkboard with Grandma Pat.

I love her CHUBBY thighs in this picture.  Chubby is putting it mildly.

He was our own little Lightning McQueen at the go kart track.  There was one track that he was tall enough to drive all by himself and it made his day.  He drove so well that people were commenting that he must have one at home or that it wasn't his first time behind the wheel.

The two of the raced each time they drove.  Swee was always looking to pass her but she blocked very well.  However, one time he managed to pass her and he was off for the rest of the time they drove.
The difference between the two of them was amazing.  We, Jason and myself, thought that the kids would love getting to ride with him on the large race track but we were only 50% right.  He hated it and that is putting it mildly.  Jason said he asked to quit from the moment they took off.
On the other hand, she thought it was a roller coaster and kept putting her hands in the air and yelling at the top of her lungs for him to go faster.  Swee didn't want to relinquish his driving opportunity to Dad so he opted to just stick with the smaller track that he was tall enough to drive on.

To make it up to him after his horrible experience of riding with Jason we let him ride the train.

Little Priss and I just hung out and took pictures and videos of everyone having fun.  It was so fun to watch the kids drive and even to see Doodle hating the go kart ride with Jason.  Memories to cherish!

her stats ....

16 lbs and 24 in

4 months

hard to believe 4 months ago she blessed our family.  she continues to be a pure pleasure to have in our family each and everyday!

4 month stats to come later this week...

growing TOO fast

little miss is modeling her christmas dress that is no longer her christmas dress since it fits her perfectly plump body now.  3  months before christmas!  priss and her were to match just like the boys but now I must shop for new matching dresses.  darn:).

watching cartoons

both were caught with the same expression while watching "mouse", as doodle calls it, one morning.

small blessings

one evening last week Jason took the little miss downstairs while I read with the older three.  after finishing reading I came down to find this and this turned into her sleeping almost 10 hours straight.  what a blessing!  she had been on a kick of waking every 2-3 hours for several nights in a row.

birthday weekend

I had a birthday!  These are my four most treasured presents ever.  I never thought that I would be this blessed.   Thanks for all the wishes and time taken to make it special.

He had a birthday too!  And he called it his Happy Day.  We even sang Happy Day to You, instead of Happy Birthday!

Our crew of four on his birthday morning.  He was so excited opening his gifts.  I loved that he was equally excited about each gift he received.

He wanted a candle in his pizza when we had his birthday dinner.   It is very hard to believe that our Lil Man is 3 years old.  He is just about potty trained and we have only been working on it 3 weeks.  He loves to go potty all by his self.  He loves everyone and continues to be extremely gentle with Q and takes care of her by getting her her pacifier when needed.

back to school, pedaling a bike, 3 months old, 22ft

School started this past Tuesday in our neck of the woods.  Swee loves his teacher and is doing great in his behavior choices.  Priss is learning to like her teacher and class.  She is the only girl from her class last year in this year's class.  What a 1st and 4th grade year we are having so far.
He has mastered pedaling a bicycle now.  Doodle wants to ride his bike whenever we go on a walk these days.

Qbee is officially 3 months old.  She is a smiley, giggly, chub rolls upon rolls, true blessing to our family.  If she wouldn't smile so easily she would probably be left alone more often but she does smile and weathers the attention so well.
On Friday I noticed a branch hanging from one of the trees in our front yard.  I asked a neighbor to come a check the branch out to make sure it wasn't going to be falling really soon.  He said it was okay and so I just mentioned it to Jason when we got home.  Saturday morning he went out and pulled on it and it came down, all 22 feet of it.  It would have severely injured one of the kids had it fallen when they were playing on the driveway.  Doodle loved using his saw to "help" cut it into manageable pieces.  There still is a broken branch suspended in the tree but it is really stuck up high and wedged really well across several other branches.
