High 80s all WEEK

The boys and I have loved the beautiful weather the past couple of days and the weather man states they should continue through the weekend. WOOO HOOO! I am so excited for the warm, sunny days of summer to be here permanently. We enjoy doing so much outside that we can't wait for Priss and Jason to be out of school for the summer.

I got a new toy

Once again the month of May found us attending Priss's tap recital. She was great and really enjoyed her third year of tap. Each year the outfit gets cuter! We reused the hair piece purchased her first year this year and it made doing her hair so much simpler. I would recommend them to anyone. Anyways, many family members took time from their busy schedules to come and see her tap, and it meant a lot to her. We did miss many family members that due to many different reasons were unable to be here this year. Missed you! I really can't wait to see what next fall holds - tap & jazz or tap & hip hop! Who knows what she will end up deciding to do...we are considering a competitive tap dance class but we still have a couple of months before we have to have a decision made.

Sleeping on the Job

He struggled staying awake in the time between soccer games on Saturday. I tried to keep him from nagging so I took him out to swing and this was the result of the swinging. Isn't it precious?!

DONE

Saturday held two soccer games for us, which completed the spring soccer season. The kids had so much fun and we completely enjoyed watching the two of them play together. They are already talking about Jason coaching them in the fall and how long will it be until fall soccer season begins. Too cute! In the last two games Priss scored several goal and Swee was the star goalie preventing their opponent from scoring twice. Yeah!

It's OVER

Swee has been needing to have a lot of dental work done and we put it off hoping that maturity would occur so that we could have it done in a traditional setting - a dentist office. Well, it didn't happen that way. We ended up having to have it done in a hospital setting under general anesthesia. It was very nerve wracking, especially since we hadn't told him what was going to happen. He had expresses a lot of apprehension about having his teeth fixed in any setting. This morning when we had to take him straight from bed to the hospital we finally began to tell him what was going on. Jason had given him a blessing last night and great comfort was felt. He did okay when we told him we were taking him to get his teeth fixed. A few minutes later he asked if it was a new doctor, and a few more past and he asked if they had a Mr. Bumpy (the drill). Swee did great...he talked with the nurses, drank his Versaid (sp) and was wheeled off without any waterworks on his part or mine. About two hours later we were talking with the doctor and were told everything went great. He ended up needing 2 root canals, the nerves were partial infected, and 6 fillings. He has two caps and all the other dental work was done so that it looks just like his teeth. As he was coming out of sedation he was pretty agitated and didn't want anyone to talk to him. He kept asking for me even though I was holding him. After being back in his room for about 20 minutes he started asking when could he go home. We were told he had to stay for an hour following his return to the Same Day Surgery room. We managed to do okay. He did begin to complain of a little discomfort so he took some Tylenol before we left the hospital. He is one an antibiotic for 5 days and we return to see the doctor next week for a recheck. I am so thankful it is all over and all his teeth are completely healthy again!

Adorable at Rest

He has just begun snuggling a blanket when he sleeps.

Exploring

The older two love the vacant field behind us since it holds many new adventures each time they take a stroll. I love being able to give them a little freedom and myself a little security at the same time. They returned from this adventure with corn stalk swords that were used in a sword fight before it turned violent. Swee whacked Priss on the arm with his and broke the skin leaving a wound and a bruise. I guess corn stalks are not TOYS!

Happy Mom's Day!

I was treated to breakfast in bed by Priss and Swee this year. Jason had asked them to leave the milk out of my cereal and they did. Along with cereal I had a toasted English muffin and a glass of milk. Following church they gave me their presents...Priss - flowers that wouldn't die, Swee and Ratch - weights, Jason - an IPOD touch armband. They also will be helping me to rearrange the flowers in the yard. I can't wait to move the flowers around and to re mulch!

group shot before we had to leave to go back home since we had school and work the following day...my brother in law thought it was funny that he was the only grown man in the picture

I was busy doing laundry yesterday and was trying to keep Lil Man close by so I put him in a laundry basket. He thought it was pretty cool until I walked out of the room to place a load of clothes in the living room. Yesterday he turned 8 months...way to quickly! He now rolls wherever, scoots on his belly, continues to love food and yell if he isn't fed quick enough, sleeps through the night most nights, and has 2 bottom teeth. The second one can be felt but not really seen at the time of this posting. He continues to be smothered in kisses, has the softest cheeks ever, loves his Swee and Sis Girl, and is SO VERBAL! We love him and are so thankful that our family was blessed to have him be a part of it. We love you Ratchie Roo!
