Dance Competition/Convention
She has started her dance competition season and did really well this past weekend in Chicago. One of her dances received a High Gold and also took second overall. They were one point from Platinum. The dance that all dance company dancers did received a High Gold also. She really enjoyed being on stage competing but the classes she attended were pretty long in her opinion. This was the only time she had to attend classes. All the other competitions will be just doing her two dances and getting scores for them.

Snow Day/Birthday!
For a birthday gift that I couldn't control... Swee got a snow day on his birthday! One would think a child would be EXCITED to not have school on their birthday. Right? NOT Swee! He was devastated that he wasn't going to school on his birthday. The principal would not announce his name over the PA and he wouldn't get to go to the office to get his special pencil. Jason sent an email to the principal, who promised to announce his birthday the next school day.
The three older kids loved playing in the snow. The sun was out and there wasn't any wind. They ganged up on me in a snowball fight. I love days like these.

Swee is older
He wanted a cameo party this year. I had to laugh because we are not hunters or even normal day cameo wearers. The cake he chose was the hit of the party...white with buttercream icing and a transforming army tank on the top. Uncle B surprised Swee with being able to come, since he currently lives in San Diego. Swee loved reading the cards on his own this year. It is so hard to believe that this boy is seven years old and is almost finished with 1st grade. We love him and continue to be amazed at how he has matured this year.
